Whether you realize it or not, research shows that time anxiety is real. When an opportunity knocks on your door, time anxiety often kicks in. Whether you run a business or have a minimum-wage job at a retail store, time is the single most important commodity for everyone.

Wasting time propels people to face more challenges down the line. If you’re wondering how to make your time yours, the answer is simpler than you think. It all boils down to creating passive income to gain 100% financial freedom and pursue your lifelong passion.

The Harsh Price of Time Bankruptcy

Oftentimes, people are overwhelmed and overworked, making their life unbearable. If you want to avoid time bankruptcy, you have to think beyond time management. Instead, focus on your life’s purpose and move past the traditional barriers that hold you back.

Remember, the pursuit of your lifelong ambition and passive income is not directly related. But having a passive income gives you the time to explore different options. With passive income – you’re not tied to conventional norms of getting a job and focusing on a long-term career. Instead, you can focus on “your” goals rather than work for a corporation to achieve their goals.

Learn to Appreciate the Value of Your Time

Of course, being part of the business world has its perks, but it comes at the expense of your dreams. Before you can regain control over your time – you first have to appreciate its value. After all, time is “the” element that can help you achieve anything you want in life.

Without free time, you cannot travel, achieve personal goals, or pursue a passion. People often presume that following their passion would lead to financial freedom. In reality, pursuing passions does not guarantee wealth.

Not Everyone Reaches the Top of the Mountain

Today, a lot of film graduates want to become the next Scorsese, but only a few talented filmmakers will be able to garner the attention of studios and streaming giants to get their big break. As the competition in different industries and fields increases, there are fewer chances to achieve true financial freedom.

If you want to follow the right route – create a passive income that involves an independent source of income without your direct involvement. You can list all the joys of your life without bringing work into the fold. And that’s because labor strips you of your valuable time.

Also, running out of time does not mean only making the most out of the weekends. Instead, you have to take work out of the equation to have complete control over your time. People who understand the value of time, move away from work, and create a passive income have the best shot of living a fulfilling, happy, and healthy life.

Work is Not Your Life’s Purpose

Sure, you can love your work and want nothing more from life. But most Americans don’t have kind things to say about their job. And to quote Dalai Lama, “we are human beings – not human doings.” It is a simple and thoughtful quote that gives a clear perspective that human life is more than just about work. Human life is about personal fulfillment, happiness, and much more.

Ordinarily, time bankruptcy issue occurs when earning money becomes a necessity. But riding on the dollar value gets people nowhere. Some might say you have to “earn” the money to live a life of comfort. However, this notion reeks of traditionalism that promotes work culture at all costs.

Create Multiple Independent Sources of Income

Your best hope to avoid the time bankruptcy curse is to identify multiple independent sources of income. And when the income stems from the industry that is out of your specialty, it cuts out the direct involvement. No matter what you choose in life, you will need time to make things work.

With passive income, you can buy your financial freedom and pursue your goals. With a consistent source of income, you will also be able to build a refined taste. And that means giving more time to your mental and physical needs and leading an enriched life.

Passivepreneurs Over Entrepreneurs

The harsh reality is that most entrepreneurs have less time at hand than salaried individuals. Not to rub salt on the wound, but the majority of entrepreneurs and job holders barely make ends meet. As much as society will have you believe about work ethic and responsibility – freedom has nothing to do with the entrepreneurial drive or excelling at a job. It’s about gaining financial freedom through passive income sources. Even if you’re a highly paid employee, you’re still nowhere in control of your time.

On the other hand, passivepreneurs enjoy the true freedom and experience of life on their own terms. Ultimately, you have to agree to disagree with workaholics that life is more meaningful, purposeful, and joyful when you have 100% financial freedom through passive income rather than using most of your time for a corporation or engaging in entrepreneurial activities.

Everyone gets 24 hours a day, but how people use that time depends on whether or not they understand the value of their time. If you sleep seven hours a day and spend the rest of your time working, you’re not in control of your time. You might savor the few saved hours to hang out with your friends and family. But it is not enough to pursue a passion or achieve personal life goals.

Question the status quo and how you can escape the traditional workforce that spends most of its time working. It may sound harsh, but if you want to make something of your life, create a passive income to achieve financial independence and avoid the crunch of time bankruptcy for good.
